Understanding Nanu Planet
The vast green forest dividing
Haru Village and Daeseong-dong, Gachi Region and South Korea
On one side of the vast green divide is Haru Village. The people here farm rice and live within the boundaries laid down by the soldiers who protect them. This portrays the Daeseong-dong "Freedom Village" in the DMZ.
The blue region of
Daro Village and Kijong-dong, Machi Region
and North Korea
On the other side of the green divide is a village with tall buildings and a large tower. But upon further inspection, Daro Village is actually a very quiet and empty place with a few small homes. This village represents Kijong-dong, the "Propaganda Village" in North Korea.
After Daro Village,

Introducing the Main Characters

-
Parchi
A young male from the [Manna Race], based somewhere in outer space. He was on his way to Andromeda while riding in the [Dardaho] with [Puchi], his love interest. They suddenly got engulfed into a black hole and made an emergency landing on [Nanu Planet]. Thus the story begins as Parchi searches for the missing Puchi.
-
Puchi
A [Manna Race] female. While on a trip with Parchi in their exploratory space mobile, they got sucked into a black hole and landed on Nanu Planet. She has since gone missing.
-
Haru Village Citizens
The citizens live in Haru Village of the Gachi Region. The people here wear the same masks. Although they are protected by soldiers, their freedom is limited.
-
Dardaho
This is the exploration mobile that Parchi and Puchi use. The name comes from the Korean word that means "different" as the mobile is used to explore different places on Nanu Planet.
-
Parchi and Puchi
The main characters have Korean names that mean green (Parchi) and blue (Puchi). They both embody the hope that users who experience the game will open their hearts as wide as the blue sky and deep as the green forests.
-
Nanu Planet
The name comes from the Korean word meaning "divided." We hope that the two Koreas will be united one day just like we hope Parchi and Puchi will be united in our story.
-
Gachi
The name is derived from the Korean word "same" but is used to show that everything is not the same -- people from all walks of life and different lifestyles make up South Korea.
-
Machi
People from Machi do not believe they are different or individuals, but they always say that their leader is right. The name Machi comes from the Korean word meaning "right."
